DBAV and SAGRI plan for partnership in near future on agricultural common ground

On the afternoon of Tuesday 31st of May, Saigon Agriculture Incorporation SAGRI and DBAV agreed to expand the existing relationship and plan for a partnership in the future. The meeting was led by Mr. Pham Thiet Hoa, General Director of Sagri, with many senior members of staff in his entourage. 

Saigon Agriculture Incorporation Ltd. (SAGRI) – head office located at Dien Bien Phu Street - is one of the leading state corporations specializing in manufacturing and trading complexes in agriculture, forestry, fishery, and seafood. SAGRI has 27 member companies and a 25-year history of development and has built a solid corporation in the Vietnamese agrifood sector. 

Guido van Rooy, Executive Director at DBAV, introduced the Dutch Business Association, Netherlands Vietnam Chamber of Commerce, and EuroCham further. Many of DBAVs members are in the agro-processing or related industries. Therefore it is interesting for both parties to let the networks make further acquaintances. 

The rest of the meeting was used to explore options for collaboration: 

• Business Matching between companies in (high tech) agrifood and agro-processing;
• Participating as exhibitor or visitor for Vietnamese companies in the GEFE Fair by EuroCham and DBAV; 
• Establishing a network between the Dutch/Vietnamese/European business community.
